Keynotes announced, expo hall and more!

With only 21 days to go until AIEC 2024 begins, there’s been some exciting new additions to the AIEC line-up. We’re delighted to announce two more keynotes to the AIEC Wednesday plenary sessions:
  • The Minister for Education, the Hon Jason Clare MP
  • The Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Hon Tim Watts MP
This year’s Exhibition Hall is one of the largest yet - 3,000sqm filled with 70+ international education organisations - all under one roof. Further afield, there's networking lounges to meet up, and places to recharge your body - and your mobiles. Echoing last year’s University of Adelaide and University of South Australia merger announcement, join us in the Exhibition Hall at Wednesday’s lunch to hear all about Adelaide University’s establishment and plans for the future.

Reminder - haven’t registered yet? Get your skates on! Registration will close 17 October – don’t miss out! We’re looking forward to seeing you at AIEC!

Keynote announcements

We’re delighted to announce the addition of two keynotes to the AIEC plenaries - the Hon Jason Clare MP, Minister for Education and the Hon Tim Watts MP, Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs.

We look forward to hearing from the Ministers on how reforms and new policy initiatives will impact the international education sector.

What’s on in the Expo Hall?

There’s certainly a plethora of things happening in the AIEC Exhibition Hall – so much so, we have overspilled into the surrounding spaces at the MCEC, with places to rest, connect and recharge whilst you’re at AIEC.

Think outside the booth, though - we've included activations from smoothie bikes, photo studios, podcasting, delicious snacks and treats, and fun activities to engage your mind! Where else can you find 70+ international education organisations under one roof? At AIEC in Melbourne!

Whether you’re in the market, want to see what’s new, or just want to browse, the Exhibition Hall has the who’s who in international education standing by to say hello.

Adelaide University Lunchtime Interview

Join us in the Exhibition Hall on Wednesday at 1pm to hear Prof Stan Grant interview the Vice Chancellor of the University of South Australia (and Adelaide University’s co-Vice Chancellor), Professor David Lloyd, and the University of Adelaide’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (External Engagement), Professor Jessica Gallagher, on the creation of Adelaide University.

AIEC has lounges galore!

Whether you want to rest, learn or recharge, AIEC has a lounge to suit you and what you’re in the mood for. Whilst the conference pace can be tough, we’re all human and need to take a break.
Located in the Exhibition Hall and throughout the venue, this year we’re offering the following spaces:
  • Braindate LoungeBraindates are back – this year they’ll be held in the foyer opposite Plenary 1.
  • Business Lounge - designed to be quiet for maximum focus and concentration, the Business Lounge provides a space for delegates to use when you need to do some urgent work. Sponsored by Australian Institute of Higher Education
  • Charge & Chat Zone – located outside the Exhibition Hall near the Welcome Desk, head here to recharge your devices.
  • Inspire Lounge – Located on Level 1, the Inspire Lounge is where to head after hearing Inspire Presentations – grab a coffee and speak with the presenters after their session.
  • Naarm Lounge – Stop by the Naarm Lounge in the Exhibition Hall to take part in a lunchtime workshop and learn about the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, on whose lands AIEC 2024 is held.
  • Sensory Room – need some time out to rest, gather your thoughts and recharge? Located on Level 1, the Sensory Room is a quiet space to chill out, meditate or be still.
