What's on at AIEC?

AIEC 2024 provides a unique convergence of networking, learning and fun into a jam-packed 4 days:

  • learning opportunities to discover innovative approaches to common challenges in international education – e.g. keynotes, expert panel sessions, country insights, best practices, case studies, industry insights, market intelligence and the latest research.
  • networking activities to expand your networks, share, collaborate and contribute to the international education community such as Braindates.
  • a buzzing physical exhibition.
  • IEAA Excellence Awards, to recognise the leaders and innovators in our sector.
  • social events to reconnect and have a bit of fun – Happy Hour and Conference dinner.

Marvellous Melbourne

Sitting elegantly on the banks of the Yarra River, Melbourne is an eclectic mix of old and new. The CBD is crisscrossed by bustling laneways filled with art, coffee and food, punctuated by the ‘ding ding’ of the tram network. In the Southbank area, the Melbourne Arts Precinct is the site of Arts Centre Melbourne – a performing arts complex – and the National Gallery of Victoria, with Australian and First Nations Art.

Melbourne is perfect for a conference delegate; with everything you need within its easily walkable boundaries. There are many hotels within a five-minute walk of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, which is surrounded by an abundance of vibrant cafes restaurants, bars and laneways.

Theme - the human element

This year’s theme, ‘the human element’, invites educators, researchers, policymakers and thought leaders to explore the multifaceted dimensions of human interactions across the international education landscape in a rapidly evolving digital era.
