Submit a proposal to speak at AIEC 2024

Share your expertise and build your profile in international education by submitting a proposal to present at AIEC 2024 in October in Melbourne/Naarm.


This year’s theme, ‘the human element’, invites educators, researchers, policymakers and thought leaders to explore the multifaceted dimensions of human interactions across the international education landscape in this rapidly evolving digital era.

We invite you to:

  • engage in insightful discussions, interactive workshops and inspiring keynote sessions that highlight the power of human relationships in enhancing the educational experience
  • examine the pivotal role that human connections play in nurturing global citizens
  • discover innovative teaching methods and ways of working that prioritise personal connections
  • learn how educators and students alike can benefit from embracing diverse perspectives
  • connect with colleagues, share experiences and extend your professional networks.

The submissions portal will close of 12 April at 5pm AEDT / UTC+11.

Are you interested in submitting a proposal but don’t know where to start? Have you submitted a proposal before but have been unsuccessful? Do you want to know how to make your proposal stand out from the crowd?


Join our information session on 27 March at 3pm AEDT and get the inside know-how on what the Program Committee is looking for.

Want to present but not sure where to start? Browse the list compiled by the Program Committee and align the topic of your proposal to one of these key topics. Please remember this is just a guide, and all ideas are welcome!

Session types - café or campfire?

   

Whilst most of us are familiar with a panel or presentation session, there’s interactive and novel ways to present your session at AIEC. From smaller group discussions to quick fire presentations, take a look through the different formats to see which will suit your proposal the best.

Key Interest Areas

   

Key interest areas (KIA) – sometimes referred to as ‘conference tracks’ or ‘program tracks’ – are the general categories into which AIEC presentations and sessions are organised. These broad categories help the Program Committee to plan a diverse and balanced program that caters to everyone’s needs and helps attendees navigate the schedule.
